As Assistant Director of Web Communications at the University of Cincinnati, I play an integral role in the university’s large scale branding and marketing initiative. The most important facet of my role is to ensure that the UC Web site family embodies the UC brand and follows the UC21 Academic Plan. This is achieved by guiding clients through a complex process of rebuilding their Web site within our Content Management System. This CMS is utilized by over 450 UC employees and services over 150 Web sites. I leverage content strategies to improve Web site visibility, design improvements to increase usability and technological innovation which improves the overall success of their Web site. Maximizing UC’s Web investment requires in-depth knowledge of Web Analytics, Search Engine Optimization as well as developing measures of success.
